Girls Appreciate Malala Yousufzai ”National Peace Award winner” Multan—Scores of girls of different educational institutes and workers of Awaz Foundation staged demonstration against terrorists who attacked Malala Yousufzai, Peace Award recepient and voice for girls education. A number of girls joined the rally which started from Nawan Shehr Chowk and ended at local Press Club.Girls Appreciate Malala Yousufzai The participants were carrying banners and playcards inscribed with condemnation of the incident and prayers for early recovery Malala Yousufzai. Media coordinator Awaz Foundation, Idrees Imtiaz while addressing the participants of the rally stated that females were not given due respect in some areas due to gender prejudices. Chief Executive Awaz Foundation Mohammad Ziaur Rehman said that women have unique role in making society better. There is need to ensure focus on education of girls in order to put country on the way to success. He strongly condemned the attack on Malala Yousufzai and demanded of government to arrest the culprits and award them exemplary punishmen

Pakistani Schoolgirl Continues to Receive Threats from Taliban

The child activist who was shot my Taliban is still receiving ongoing threats against her. The father of Malala Yousafzai says she will return to Pakistan after her recovery in England.. The 15-year-old was targeted by the Taliban for speaking out against Islamic extremists and girls education rights. Meanwhile the identity of her shooter was revealed to be Attaullah, acting on orders of one of the Taliban’s most feared commanders. Sources say he is in his 30s, and may have fled to Afghanistan. It was revealed Attaullah has been detained by security forces in 2009 after a Pakistani military campaign cleansed the SwatValley of the Taliban.
